ESPANOLA, ON - On January 3rd, 2024, the Town of Espanola CAO/Treasurer, Mr. Allan Hewitt, tendered his resignation. Mr. Hewitt has accepted a position with the Township of Asphodel-Norwood. The Town expresses its best wishes to Mr. Hewitt in his new position. His last day with the Town will be February 2nd, 2024.
At a Special Meeting of Council on January 9th, 2024, Council passed a resolution to hire David C. King, Municipal Advisory Services, to assist Council with this transition. As part of this transition, Mr. King will be working with Council to prepare offers of employment and to guide Council with any recruitment processes relating to this vacancy. As additional information becomes available, it will be shared promptly.
