Town Designates An Accessibility Park

The Town of Espanola has designated the Algoma Street Park for development as an Accessibility Park to commemorate the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary.

"To celebrate our local difference makers and their contributions to removing financial, physical and cultural barriers to accessibility we thought it a fitting tribute to recognize their efforts by designating an accessibility park," says Mike Lehoux, Mayor of the Town of Espanola.  "The site was chosen for its suitability for development; the property is flat and large enough to facilitate accessible pathways, a picnic area and accessible play equipment."

A spring date will be set to mark the official opening of the park.
