“The tradition of the ribbon cutting will fittingly be replaced with a fire hose to mark the occasion,” says Mayor Jill Beer. Council is inviting the community to tour the new facility, “the new fire hall is a point of pride and celebration; the new build will ensure we are meeting standards to ensure the safe keeping of our community.”
The new accessible, four bay hall will house a training centre for the 28 volunteer fire fighters and staff. The training centre has the potential to develop into a training hub for firefighters across Northeastern Ontario.
