Hose Cutting Ceremony Planned for New Fire Hall

The community is invited to celebrate the opening of Espanola’s new fire hall on July 20th, from 11am–4pm.

“The tradition of the ribbon cutting will fittingly be replaced with a fire hose to mark the occasion,” says Mayor Jill Beer.   Council is inviting the community to tour the new facility, “the new fire hall is a point of pride and celebration; the new build will ensure we are meeting standards to ensure the safe keeping of our community.”

The new accessible, four bay hall will house a training centre for the 28 volunteer fire fighters and staff.  The training centre has the potential to develop into a training hub for firefighters across Northeastern Ontario.
