Espanola Police Service Arbitration Award

The Espanola Police Services Board has received the arbitration award related to the outstanding collective bargaining issues between the Board and the Association.

The Arbitrator has ordered that the Board increase the severance from 4 weeks to 5 weeks for each year of service for those sworn members who do not receive an offer of employment from the O.P.P.  The Award also included a wage settlement of 1.75% for 2017 and 2018 and requires the employer to provide a letter of employment to each member.

The Board will be implementing the changes awarded by the Arbitrator as soon as possible.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the former members of the Espanola Police Association for their dedication and commitment to our municipality over the years.

We wish all of them the very best in their future.
