Municipal Elections

The 2018 Municipal election takes place on Monday, October 22. Espanola will elect one Mayor, and 6 Councillors. In addition, voters will elect school board trustees for English Public, English Catholic and French Catholic Boards.

A person may be nominated for office if he or she meets all the requirements: candidates must be 18 or older, a Canadian citizen, a resident of Espanola (or an owner or tenant of land in the Espanola or the spouse of such a person) and eligible to vote.
