The Trunk Water Main Replacement Project has been experiencing delays for the completion of Phase 1. Phase 1 includes the installation and commissioning of the section of trunk main from the Water Treatment Facility to the bottom of Tank Hill on Bass Lake Road. Due to leaks along the new section of pipe, the contractor, Belanger Construction, has been unable to complete commissioning and pressure tests to conclude this first phase. Cold weather conditions have further delayed repairs. The Town is in regular contact with the contractor and is engaging in discussions with their senior management to ensure adequate plans are in place to overcome these challenges. Commissioning and pressure tests will require that all leaks be rectified.
As additional details become available, public notices will be shared. No water service interruptions are expected at this time.
